03 — The record
Corrections welcome. Rewrites impossible.
People upload the wrong file. That is not the problem worth solving. The problem is a chain of custody that can be edited afterwards without anyone knowing.
- Versions accumulate
v2 arrives and v1 stays exactly where it was, with its uploader and its timestamp.
- Removals keep their mark
A withdrawn file leaves its row, struck through and dated.
- Edits keep their earlier text
Correct a post or a message and the previous wording stays readable.
- Derived, so it cannot drift
The trail is assembled from the documents themselves. Nothing writes to it, so nothing can omit from it.

04 — Standards
We did not invent our own idea of verified.
Verification and the record run on vendors that publish their own audits, and the badges below are theirs, not Nelum's. Nelum holds no certification of its own: we are pre-launch and have been through neither ISO/IEC 27001 nor a SOC 2 audit. What we have built ourselves is on the security page, stated as controls you can check rather than as certificates we do not hold.
Identity and business verification
KYB on the company, KYC on the people who can act for it, sanctions and PEP screening, and biometric liveness tested against presentation attacks rather than assumed safe. These are our verification provider's certifications, published by the provider.

Where the record lives
Row-level authorisation means a document is reachable by the parties to that order and by nobody else — enforced at the database, not in an application check somebody can forget to write. That is ours. The infrastructure beneath it is our hosting provider's, and so are its certifications.

Payments in partnership with Stripe
Nelum's subscriptions and AI credits are processed by Stripe, Nelum's payments partner, which publishes certification to PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1. Card details are collected and held by Stripe — they never touch Nelum's systems, and Nelum never holds client funds.
